Tokyo born artist Shun Oyama is the designer and founder behind PALATI 1997. Oyama, was a Japanese soccer player with no prior knowledge of the fashion industry. His dream of becoming a fashion designer led him to America at 19. At 22 years old, Oyama became the youngest Japanese designer to showcase a collection at NYFW. Shun’s goal is to create a space for the next generation to pursue their dreams and aims to cultivate history by using his story to inspire the youth.
